The Hardangervidda plateau is located near Haugastol, where we will be staying in the Haugastol.no hotel.
Hardangervidda is an extremely exposed, fairly flat plateau area, very cold and often windy - perfect for snowkiting!
Lessons can be booked at the local school, Fluid.no, which offers some of the most professional instruction in the World.. Lessons take place over the entire duration of the weekend and lead to a fully IKO accredited snowkiting qualification.
This trip is perfect if:
- You want to get a taste of snowkiting but don't want to commit to a full week
- You want to learn to snowkite
- You just can't get enough time off work for a whole week
- You just need a quick weekend fix of your favorite kitesport!

Friday
08.25 - Depart London Stansted with Air Norway
11.30 - Arrive Oslo Gardermoen
Transfer by car to Haugastol - 4 hours
17:00 Arrive Haugastol
Afternoon - snowkite, relax, or explore
Evening - lessons for those taking courses, otherwise eating and drinking!
Saturday
Snowkiting! Or lessons for those taking a course
Evening - night out in Geilo
Sunday
Snowkiting! Or lessons for those taking a course
Evening - drinks and food locally
Monday
Sorting and packing kit
Leisurely drive back to the airport, perhaps via Oslo for some sightseeing
Return flight departs: 18:50
Arrives London Stansted: 20:00

Accomodation will be in an apartment at the the hotel Haugastol.no (www.haugasto.no)
The Haugasto.no hotel caters specially for snowkiters and even has a weatherstation in the lobby. It also has a sauna for soothing aching bodies!
EQUIPMENT
Board and ski hire is available in Geilo. Kites are provided for those taking lessons, otherwise you must bring your own equipment.
